What are you going to do?
You will be working at the interface between phytopathology and plant breeding on the development of and innovation within our range of varieties. Your responsibilities include identifying, investigating and breeding in resistance genes in half-material and developing disease testing protocols. Following genetic screening, you are also able to translate genotype and phenotype data into applicable markers and to carry that through to the breeding process.
Your power
You have reached an academic level equivalent to that of a university degree, whether gained through university studies or through work experience in the field of plant biology. Requirements: experience in phytopathology research, able to translate results into breeding, knowledge of genetics, understanding the concepts of molecular biology. And also result-oriented, innovative, proactive, experience with working in various internal and external parties, perseverance, good communication skills in the English language.
